Meet The Person Behind It All

Laura Claudio, Founder & CEO of Oceanside Finance & HR Solutions, has over 25 years of experience in HR & Financial Services in a variety of industries.  She started her career at GE Capital, where she worked for 11 years in various sectors of the business, handling training & development for all levels in the organization, from administrative staff to C-level executives.  She then transitioned to GE Consumer Finance where she was responsible for corporate audits and budgets and oversaw the training and development of call center reps throughout the country.  She became certified in the Six Sigma methodology under Gary Wendt and began her management career in her late 20’s.

After a dissolution due to the outsourcing of her department at GE Capital, she began working at a small entrepreneurial-owned company, working directly for the Owner/CEO and ran all the operations of the company, including the handling of all the finances and product purchases for the company, as well as HR services.

Due to her passion for learning & growing, she moved on to a new opportunity after 5 years and became the Operations Manager at a “start-up” financial advisory firm.  It was here that her growth really intensified.  Due to it being a start-up, Laura was responsible for setting up new business operations including policies, processes & benefits.  She managed all HR items, including payroll, medical/dental benefits selection & administration, 401K, FSA and transit benefits.  She managed all accounting items for US office, including A/P and A/R responsibilities, managed all outsourced vendor relationships, handled recruiting and compliance; single handedly running annual FINRA audits for broker dealer entity.   After 11 years, the Founding Partner resigned, and the business was dissolved.  Laura was kept on, and was solely responsible for dissolving the firm, including all legal entities, bank accounts, benefits programs, vendor accounts, etc.

Her next move brought her to Naples, FL where she worked in the legal industry as a Law Office Administrator.  She expanded her skill set even further when she began working on general ledgers and more involved accounting practices.   She was responsible for managing multiple escrow accounts (receipts and disbursements), as well as operating accounts, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, billing, A/R, A/P, and underwriter audits.   She remained responsible for all HR items, including payroll, benefits, staffing (hiring/terminations/annual reviews), as well as managing staff workload / issues, and handled the planning and logistics associated with all corporate events.

While working a demanding, full-time job, Laura decided to start a side business in 2022 helping clients with bookkeeping work.

In 2025, she decided to leave the corporate world and focus on her business full-time, offering financial and HR services to small-mid size companies, looking to outsource related tasks to a tenured and experienced professional in the industry.
