About Oceanside HR & Finance Solutions

Rooted in Purpose. Inspired by the Water. Built to Help You Navigate.

When I started Oceanside HR & Finance Solutions, I wasn’t just launching a business—I was building something deeply personal, grounded in purpose, and inspired by life experience.

I grew up in Connecticut, where my family spent countless days on Long Island Sound aboard our boat, the R&R—short for “Rest & Relaxation”. Those moments on the water, surrounded by family, brought me peace, clarity, and lasting joy. Over time, the water became more than a setting for fond memories—it became a symbol of balance, calm, and resilience.

After losing my husband in 2018, I began the slow process of rebuilding. In 2021, I chose to move to Naples, Florida, to stay connected to the water and find a new sense of calm. In 2023, I lost my father—another moment of reflection. Together, these experiences helped me realign with what matters most: living with intention and finding joy in meaningful work.

Two things stood out clearly:

I feel most grounded near the water, and I find purpose in helping people through difficult transitions.

With over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Finance, I’ve built a career around supporting others; helping leaders navigate complex employee matters, align financial strategy with business goals, and create calm in the chaos of running a company. I’ve worked with organizations of all sizes, from start-ups to established organizations, guiding them through transitions, challenges, and growth with compassion and clarity.

Why Oceanside?

I chose the name Oceanside HR & Finance Solutions to honor the place that brings me peace—and to reflect my commitment to helping others find that same sense of balance and confidence in their businesses. Just as being near the ocean helps reset and refocus, my goal is to help you move forward—whether you’re navigating employee challenges, financial uncertainty, or growing pains.

Meet The Person Behind It All

Laura Claudio, Founder & CEO of Oceanside Finance & HR Solutions, has over 25 years of experience in HR & Financial Services in a variety of industries.  She started her career at GE Capital, where she worked for 11 years in various sectors of the business, handling training & development for all levels in the organization, from administrative staff to C-level executives.  She then transitioned to GE Consumer Finance where she was responsible for corporate audits and budgets and oversaw the training and development of call center reps throughout the country.  She became certified in the Six Sigma methodology under Gary Wendt and began her management career in her late 20’s.

After a dissolution due to the outsourcing of her department at GE Capital, she began working at a small entrepreneurial-owned company, working directly for the Owner/CEO and ran all the operations of the company, including the handling of all the finances and product purchases for the company, as well as HR services.

Due to her passion for learning & growing, she moved on to a new opportunity after 5 years and became the Operations Manager at a “start-up” financial advisory firm.  It was here that her growth really intensified.  Due to it being a start-up, Laura was responsible for setting up new business operations including policies, processes & benefits.  She managed all HR items, including payroll, medical/dental benefits selection & administration, 401K, FSA and transit benefits.  She managed all accounting items for US office, including A/P and A/R responsibilities, managed all outsourced vendor relationships, handled recruiting and compliance; single handedly running annual FINRA audits for broker dealer entity.   After 11 years, the Founding Partner resigned, and the business was dissolved.  Laura was kept on, and was solely responsible for dissolving the firm, including all legal entities, bank accounts, benefits programs, vendor accounts, etc.

Her next move brought her to Naples, FL where she worked in the legal industry as a Law Office Administrator.  She expanded her skill set even further when she began working on general ledgers and more involved accounting practices.   She was responsible for managing multiple escrow accounts (receipts and disbursements), as well as operating accounts, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, billing, A/R, A/P, and underwriter audits.   She remained responsible for all HR items, including payroll, benefits, staffing (hiring/terminations/annual reviews), as well as managing staff workload / issues, and handled the planning and logistics associated with all corporate events.

While working a demanding, full-time job, Laura decided to start a side business in 2022 helping clients with bookkeeping work.

In 2025, she decided to leave the corporate world and focus on her business full-time, offering financial and HR services to small-mid size companies, looking to outsource related tasks to a tenured and experienced professional in the industry.

Laura received her master’s degree in HR Management and Organizational Development from Manhattanville College, and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut.
